1-11-11 SNOW

Glory to God for the snow!
Our God is an awesome God!
We woke to 6 inches and still snowing. Overall we had about 7-8 inches of powder snow. The scenery takes on a new look when it is covered in snow. God really did think of everything. Just think about it, changing seasons.....really, how amazing is that? Snow, rain, leaf changing, wind, ice, mountains, flowers. We live in such beauty.
As I ventured out to the barn, also covered in snow I found lots of animal tracks. The deer had been crossing the fence in the snow. Our neighbor two houses down has a feeding schedule and they apparently didn't miss a beat getting there. They had left their tracks in the snow, jumped the fence and were feed on schedule. I wish I had been out early enough to watch them.

January 13th found me bird stalking. It was a beautiful day. Snow still on the ground and the birds just seemed to be going wild looking for food and singing. With the trees mostly bare and the white snow backdrop the birds were easy to spot. WOW! just look at the colors! Have you ever seen a more beautiful blue? God loves us even more than these.
I don't know who I like better.
OK! I confess, as much as I love the many varieties and color of birds. Their beautiful gift of flight, horses take the cake with me. So majestic and powerful, yet they are emotional creatures who seem to try to communicate with us. This is IAGO, my most favorite horse. He is big and bold as long as he has someone close by. The herd leader around here.
Thank You God for the creatures.
