Today we made our salt dough crown of thorns. It turned out great this year. We placed it on our family altar. We will walk by it many times each day....so I hope this encourages US to "turn away from sin." Each good deed secretly pulling a thorn from Christ crown.

Now begins the fun pictures of the mess we made...Patrick had a blast squishing and mushing for about 20 minutes, then came the tossing of the dough across the kitchen. It was priceless. I did not have the video camera ready for this project.

Oh yeah and this is just their hands. This gooey mess was all over the counter, floors, cabinets, stools, Patrick's hair. It was worth the clean up as we talked, laughed and listened to the rain coming down.

The dough was perfect for molding after we worked with it awhile! Mary just liked squeezing it and pulling it to see how long she could make it before it broke.
