Panning for gold-strengthening friendships

We walked a short brisk walk to a creek I think is called Wards Creek.
Mr. Warick, our prospector was skilled and serious.
The fun begins.

What a beautiful smile.
Kim and Sarah enjoyed watching.
Cathy wanted to stay for hours and really had a great time. She has the gift of patience
Our prospector shows us how to shake the pan.

The crate was used to carry the pans...Buster decided to show us a new bigger method of crating for rocks :-)
OOPS....Someone went face first in the "quick-mud".

Do you see the twinkle in the eyes here? Hmm there is a bit of mischief around the corner.

Mary is simply content to be in the creek. She is in her element out in nature. She points out so many amazing creations that I would have missed.
And the mischief begins. I guess this was the "jackpot" for a few little girls. They had fun...then
Someone is really getting it from all three sides...could that be Summer behind the waterfall?
they were a little cold! Priceless shot.

No flakes of gold found today....however our friendships will glisten evermore.
Big thanks to Cathy for arranging this fun-wet day on the creek.
